Overview:
An Automotive Salesperson assists customers in selecting and purchasing new or used vehicles. They build relationships with clients, understand their needs, and guide them through the sales process from initial contact to final purchase.

Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and identify their vehicle needs and preferences
- Explain features, specifications, and pricing of vehicles
- Conduct test drives and demonstrate vehicle performance
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of inventory and current promotions
- Negotiate pricing and financing options within dealership guidelines
- Assist customers with paperwork and coordinate with finance departments
- Follow up with leads and maintain customer relationships for repeat business
- Meet or exceed monthly sales goals
- Keep the showroom and lot organized and presentable
- All other Assigned Duties
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Sales and negotiation abilities
- Customer-focused mindset
- Basic knowledge of vehicles and automotive features (training often provided)
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends
- High school diploma or equivalent (some employers prefer a college degree)
- Valid driver's license
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in sales or customer service
- Familiarity with CRM software
- Understanding of financing and leasing options
Work Environment:
- Primarily based at a dealership showroom or car lot
